MJ is a career hospitality technologist with a deep background in Point-of-Sale, project management, 3rd party integrations, strategic planning, and large-scale implementations/product rollouts. MJ has worked with clients both large and small and brings the perspective of both the vendor and operator to the table.
Currently, MJ works with Five Guys as their consultant on all international technology and development efforts. Currently, he is managing a POS standardization rollout across existing stores in 13 countries while managing development and certification of vendors for future expansion. Earlier in his career, MJ has managed 3rd party integration rollouts for multiple restaurant and hotel brands, app and website development, brand technology revitalization, and long-term strategy/budgeting.
MJ graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management. From there, MJ went to work for Oracle (formerly micros) as a Major Account Implementation Specialist before assuming the role of Account Manager for Hyatt North America. He then moved to NCR to manage small business sales in the DC/MD/VA region, followed by taking a different role working with NCR’s multi-unit clients in the area (Cava, District Taco, &pizza, Beefsteak). Prior to his current role with ConStrata, MJ lead the technology efforts for The Plamondon Companies, the franchisor of Roy Rogers Restaurants.
