Mr. Asad has extensive Hospitality Industry experience for nearly 25 years working various roles with global hospitality firms such as Four Seasons Hotels, Marriott Hotels, and Hilton. He held the position of Director of Information Technology for Choice Hotels International, the world’s second largest hospitality firm with over 5000 properties where he implemented technology strategic plans internationally, negotiated international agreements, trained personnel, and implemented technology systems in Asia Pacific, Europe, South America, and the U.S.

Ray has also managed technology implementation projects for Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, and Holiday Inns. Ray has extensive international business and cultural exposure and speaks five languages (English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Arabic). Ray also severed as Director of Finance for a resort/time share organization in southern California with seven resorts and various restaurants and commercial outlets in the U.S. and Mexico. Additionally he served as board member on various non-profit vacation plan owner’s associations acting as CFO. He also worked as a Business Consultant in the areas of strategic business planning and financial analysis working with clients internationally seeking U.S. market entry and consulted with various industries such as processed foods, textile and apparel, and outdoor furniture. He conducted work within some of the Mercasul countries (Argentina, Brazil, & Chile).

Ray recently held the post of Chief Financial Officer for privately held higher education institution where he was responsible for all finance related functions, information technology, and human resources as well as an active faculty member of Hospitality Accounting and Revenue Management at community colleges in California. Ray holds an MBA degree from CSU East Bay with emphasis on Global Business Strategy and Finance and a Bachelor’s degree from CSU Polytechnic in Hospitality Management. Also a certification in Mergers & Acquisitions from UCLA-Anderson School of Management.
